Changed my OS from Windows 8 to Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on a HP Pavilion 15-n003tx notebook PC. Lost Wi-Fi connectivity. No Network Adapter recognised. Checked Device Manager: No drivers for: Ethernet Controller; Network controller; PCI Device; PCI Simple Communication Controller; SM Bus Controller; Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller; Unknown device: Downloaded ALL HP software and drivers for: Network Drivers.

I have an HP Pavillion with an on board Realtek® RTL8201CL LAN PHY Fast Ethernet network card. I performed a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit yesterday and i was missing 2 drivers after the install.
Network Controller Driver Windows 7 64 Bit
The sound card and the net card. I found the sound card driver and installed in device manager. Then after a bunch of searching I found the ethernet driver and tried to install. I continually get the message that the driver did not install properly. I dowloaded the 64 bit windows 7 driver from here: I tried to install the driver manually and also through the installer.same message. I checked the Bios and verified that the on-board ethernet is enabled.
I uninstalled the card and rebooted.and also attempted to select a specific driver to install.still no luck. I'm stuck at this point and don't have any other ideas. If I can't resolve this though at least I made an image of the machine prior to the install!:-) Thanks for any help that you can provide.
